What it is
Skin work is the foundation. Good skin makes every other treatment look better, and sometimes it is the only thing that needs doing.
Treatment is planned as a course with a home routine, because skin responds to consistency rather than single appointments.
Who considers this
Often suited to
- People with uneven texture, congestion or dullness
- People with pigmentation or redness they want assessed
- People who want to look after their skin properly before considering anything else
May help with
- Texture and roughness
- Dullness and uneven tone
- Congestion and enlarged pores
- Early fine lines
On the day
Your skin is assessed and its history discussed, including products and previous treatment.
A course and a home routine are recommended together.
Progress is photographed at each stage.
Results and review
Skin changes gradually. Expect improvement across a course rather than after one session.
Aftercare
Sun protection and a simple, consistent routine are essential.
Use a broad-spectrum SPF 50 daily and avoid direct sun exposure while your skin settles.
Pause retinoids, acids and exfoliants for 3–5 days, or as advised for your treatment.
Keep the routine simple: gentle cleanser, moisturiser, SPF.
